Alice by Heart follows the story of Alice Spencer as she takes shelter during the London Blitz and escapes into the world of Alice in Wonderland while dealing with her friend Alfred’s illness. The musical focuses on themes of imagination, grief, and growing up, showing how Alice uses fantasy to cope with loss and the harsh realities of war.

During this show, I took blocking and rehearsal notes throughout the rehearsal process. Blocking notes were kept easily accessible in the Show tome, and rehearsal notes were distributed to designers daily. I also acted as a liaison between the director and designers, supporting communication between both teams throughout the entire process. During rehearsals, I also helped to manage the cast, occasionally filling in to run rehearsals when the director needed to step out. I was also responsible for choreographing any and all set changes alongside my ASMs, ensuring to follow the stylistic demands of the director. When running the show, I would call light, sound, and projection cues, also managing the tech crew.
