Big Fish focuses on the themes of storytelling and fantasy while also showing the often negative and harmful side of the real world, I focused on defining this difference. The set contrasts the fantasy world featuring bright solid colors and the real world featuring dull and worn-down colors. While symbolizing the use of stories as an escape I also left tons of open free space for the director and lighting designer to have a lot of freedom in how they want to symbolize fantasy vs reality.
