Rolling in The Deep is a jukebox musical written and directed by Rose Terwilliger using music by Adele focusing on representing mental health conditions that are often misrepresented or not represented. The story follows three main characters Ivy, Shane, and Laurie through their struggles with both their mental condition and their relationships with their partners. Ivy lives with selective mutism, Shane has OCD and struggles with addiction, and Laurie is grappling with postpartum depression. All three of these characters see the same therapist, Dr. Kravetz, who helps them manage their lives and mental health.

In this design, I focused on the various personalities and struggles that the characters faced throughout the show. All three main characters had an assigned "look" that was designed around their conflicts. After analyzing the characters and their stories I decided to focus on three main emotions, one for each character: Shane: Loneliness, Laurie: Apathy, Ivy: Shyness. The show features harsh colors during the intense moments while being much darker throughout the emotional scenes.
